Gen. Mugisha Muntu has condemned the undemocratic and violent manner in which a group of people power members heckled Dr. Kizza Besigye at CBS radio at Bulange in Mengo on Saturday and hailed Bobi Wine also known as Robert Kyagulanyi for a call for calm.
Dr. Besigye was attacked and heckled by a group that called themselves People Power at CBS radio where he had been hosted by Meddie Nsereko on their interactive Saturday political show.

Gen. Muntu took to his Twitter account to attack the group’s intentions.
The former army commander charged: “Fellow Ugandans, Over the weekend, it was reported that a rowdy group of people identifying themselves as supporters or members of @People_Power_Ug heckled @kizzabesigye1. While the real identity & motives of these people are still a matter of debate, the following is not.”
He said: “I’ve always said we can’t give what we don’t have. While opposition groups may disagree about how to secure the future we want, we must ensure we don’t resort to the underhand, violent, undemocratic methods that the govt regularly employs against those who disagree with them.”
Gen. Muntu who quit FDC recently to form his own political group, New Formation, blasted: “I therefore condemn the actions of the aforementioned group and thank @HEBobiwine for swiftly and decisively disassociating himself from them. Our opinions on how to achieve the Uganda we want may differ, but we can disagree without being disagreeable.”
