The university campus was flooded on Saturday after River Nabuyonga burst its banks following heavy rains.
The river burst its banks and flooded the entire university, leaving classrooms, hostels, and offices drenched in water.
All University computers and documents were also swept away swimming in the fast streaming water.
John Khauka, the Livingstone International University Marketing Officer, said the offices of the marketing officer and the dean of students are among those that were damaged.
The rains which found students enjoying their deep sleep slowly flooded their rooms to capacity destroying their belongings including beddings, laptops, and books.
Khauka explains that this has made the university to halt the examinations until further notice since the students are physiologically affected.
He says the move by the university to halt the exams is to enable students to recover from the calamity.
Several other rivers including Nabuyonga, Namunsi, and Manafwa among others burst their banks ravaging homes and property of hundreds.
