President Yoweri Museveni slipped into his army boots Sunday to rush to Jinja.

President Museveni is in Jinja to inspect the deadly floating island ahead of his Covid-19 address tonight.

The 16-acre floating Island, interrupted President’s Covid-19 address to the nation on Tuesday afternoon.

Museveni shared pictures of his inspection of the Island on his Twitter handle and then stated;

“Inspecting the extent of damage caused by a 16-acre moving island that partly blocked Nalubale Bridge and also moved towards the dam causing a power blackout.”

He stated: “I can see works on the ground to contain the movement of this island and restore normalcy.”
