Police in Mayuge is looking for 2 unknown killers who shot a man dead on Wednesday night after they broke into his house and opened fire on him.
The assailants are thought to be part of a group of Unknown thugs who have been terrorizing residents.
Henry Basoga a resident of Magamaga trading center met his unfortunate demise on Wednesday night 8:45 pm while watching television in the comfort of his house.
An eye witness who is also a neighbor to the deceased narrates how they reportedly watched from a window 2 men disguised in hoods walking towards Basoga’s house before hearing gunshots moments later.
Abdullah Mukabire, another resident who heard the gunshot and was shocked by the news says they have severally complained about high levels of insecurity in their area but in vain.
James Mubi, the Busoga East Region Police spokesperson confirmed the attack, saying a team of officers from both police and UPDF had been dispatched to track down the assailants.
The lifeless body has been taken to Iganga General Hospital mortuary.
