It was all jubilation at the Alliance for National Transformation after 2 vocal MPs officially defected to the Muntu camp at a presser on Tuesday morning.

Former Forum for Democratic Change FDC MP Paul Mwiru alongside independent Ntungamo Municipality Gerald Karuhanga threw the towel on their previous political beliefs and will henceforth be identified with ANT.

The two MPS who could hide their excitement both expressed pride and satisfaction to be on the Muntu team ahead of the general elections.

Gerald Karuhanga said he has always admired being a part of ANT because of its structural framework on critical values like honesty , transparency, unity, and justice which form a bedrock that can transform Uganda as a nation.

He further urged youngsters in Uganda to join a leadership he believes focuses on equitable progress of the nation as compared to sitting in poverty yet Uganda is endowed with vast resources.

Similarly, Mwiru said he joined the party willfully and pledged to work religiously with a party he says puts people first to see change.

Mwiru said Uganda needs an organized party such as ANT ahead of the 2021 elections to create a significant difference in the lives of the populous.

Mugisha Muntu who is aspiring for the presidency as ANT choice  while received the defectors said that the ANT has established a foot hall in the parliament and they will continue to work hard and persistently  until they capture the entire August  house

Muntu said as ANT they believe parliament can transform from being an infirmary to a house that sheds light on Uganda
