The national Unity Platform NUP can’t stop singing songs of praise to the almighty for the good things happening of recent within the party.
And Thursday 13th of August 2020 is just one of their glory days as they officially ushered in over a dozen members of the DP bloc that have been at loggerheads with their former boss DP President Nobert Mao.
They include DP NEC members, Senior party Members, and lower-level leaders.
They are; Mathias Mpuga, Medard Sseggona, Betty Nambooze, Moses Kasibante, Muwanga Kivumbi, Allan Ssewanyana, Ronina Sentongo (Kyotera), Sempala Kigozi, Veronica Nayondo, Counsel Samuel Muyizi, Kenneth Kakande, Florence Namayanja, Matia Lwanga Bwanika (Chairperson Wakiso District) and Brenda Nabukenya.
In what was a highly emotional event at the NUP kamwokya based head officers, the NUP party President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi wine marked the 13th of August as a day to remember the heroes of the party some of who died on Duty.
He also indicated that this date will be marked annually in the NUP party.
Bobi Wine mentioned some of them as Yasin Kawuma his bodyguard who took a bullet that was meant for him in August 2018, Rita Nabukenya who was knocked off a Boda Boda on her way to a people power event, Micheal Arindaaka Ziggy wine among others.
