Police have revealed that the 22-year-old man who was nabbed at parliament with the head of a 5-year-old girl identified as Faith Kyamagero will appear in court on Thursday.

Fred Enanga the police mouthpiece says Police has already submitted the file of Joseph Nuwashaba to the Director of Public Prosecution -DPP’S office on charges of aggravated defilement and murder.

Nuwashaba arrived at parliament with a box covered in an orange gift wrapper claiming it was a parcel for the Speaker to parliament Rebecca Kadaga.

During investigations, Nuwashaba claimed that he was paid sh80,000 to deliver the said gift.

However, Enanga says police have concluded investigations after exploring all avenues, including if Nuwashaba was working with other parties in the murder and allegations he made that he has been in the trade of killing young children for ritual purposes.

Enanga says they moved across different districts in 8 homes where the suspect claimed he was responsible for murdering children for ritual and blood-sucking purposes for inquires but concluded it was a lie to divert them.

He says the head and the torso has been handed back to the relatives for burial to the deceased in Masaka after DNA tests conducted on the mother also matched with that of the dead body.

DNA tests were carried out on the father to the deceased Pastor Charles Ssenyonga and his wife, Gloria (Ssenyonga) to establish paternity of Faith Kyamagero and it was a match for both.

Ssenyonga’s samples were drawn on Tuesday from Kampala while Gloria’s were extracted by experts from Masaka and later transferred to the government analytical laboratory in Kampala for a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA test).

Other tests conducted on the deceased also revealed that she was also defiled by Nuwashaba before he beheaded her.
