There is shock and grief in Namato West Village in Namutumba District after locals discovered a lifeless decapitated body of a 38-year-old man murdered for reportedly sleeping with someone’s wife.
Stephen Balyogera was discovered by his neighbors in the morning, headless, with the body thrown to the side and in a pool of blood in his compound on Wednesday.
Charles Tete Musoke the LC1 expressed shock saying this is the first time that murder of that nature is happening in the village.
Musoke says his immediate neighbors suspect that the deceased could have been killed for sleeping around with another resident’s wife because he had been threatened on several occasions on that matter.
The neighbours allege that despite several attempts to warn and advise Baloyogera against sleeping with a married woman, he refused to listen.
“I personally advised him to end his relationship with someone’s wife but he did not listen. If he had listened, this would not have happened,” a neighbor lamented.
The Busoga East Police Spokesperson, James Mubi says the body has been taken to Nsinze health centre IV fora postmortem as police are investigating the death.
