Police in Kampala have locked up a heartless man for attempting to kill his family by setting his house on fire on Women’s day.
The suspect Kenga Mohammed a local from Willing Zone Kansanga Parish, Makindye Division Kampala, set his house ablaze after a bitter quarrel with his longtime bonk mate identified as wife Nakalema Jane.
Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson has confirmed that Kenga intentionally intended to harm his wife and 2 children aged Mastula 8 and Mariam 6 years.
Onyango says the couple first got involved in a heated fight on Sunday, March 7th at about 10 pm, and after failing to agree Kenga walked away angry.
He says a fuming Kenga first purchased petrol before storming his house and starting a fire from inside, burning his bonk mate and their two children Mariam age 6 years, and Mastula age 8 years.
The police rushed the victims to Nsambya hospital where they are currently getting treatment and the suspect Kenga Mohammed was arrested on arson charges and is detained at Kabalagala.
