Police in Mukono are hunting for locals behind the lynching of a man who killed his uncle.
Francis Kigozi was accused by locals of chopping 70yr old Lawrence Lwera to death over a disputed piece of land.
Lwera, a peasant, was attacked by his nephew Kigozi while on his way home on Wednesday 10th March 2021.
Henry Kabanda, the LC1 for Namubiru Village in Nama Sub County says Kigozi hit the old man on the head with a blunt object and left him for the dead.
Kabanda says Lwera was later rescued by a good samaritan who rushed him to Namirembe Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries later.

Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO Kampala Metropolitan Police says police arrived at the scene of the accident after Kigozi had been killed.
He adds that both bodies have been taken to Kawolo Hospital for postmortem.
The police have recorded statements of eyewitnesses and visited the different scenes of crime to collect evidence.
Owoyesigyire says Police will ensure that all the people involved in this violent crime will be arrested and face the law.
