Last week, skimpily dressed singer, Winnie Nakanwagi alias Winnie Nwagi, dared officials of Internal Affairs when she approached the ministry over travel related matters.
However, she was pushed out by irate cops.
While addressing the media Monday at the police headquarters in Naguru, Internal Affairs Spokesperson Simon Mundeyi confirmed that indeed, Nwagi, visited the ministry last week.
However, he said, “There were some young children who had come with their mother for passports. They were pointing at her, wondering how a person would dress like that.”

“The whole body (down) was out for the public to see. Breasts were almost falling,” Mundeyi described Nwagi’s hot pants, which covered the bare necessities and tattered jacket, while explaining the circumstances under which she was forced out.
At this rate, Mundeyi said the attention of their officers was drawn to Nwagi.
“Our officers were professional. They told her politely to leave but she threw insults (words I can’t say here) at our officers,” he added.
According to Mundeyi, the policy at the ministry emphasises decency.
“She didn’t depict a mother and respectable member of the public. We entertain performing artists, not naked artists,” Mundeyi noted.
He urged celebrities to head to Internal Affairs ministry while they are decently dressed to avoid being disappointed and humiliated.
“We have a dress code policy that emphasises decency. Respect this ministry because it hosts very respectable people of the society.”
