During a foot patrol along Nantenza Road, Kungu, officers from Najjera and Buwaate arrested two suspected gangsters linked to violent thefts.
The suspects, Ziwa Raymond aka Dodo and Lubega Stephen, are members of the infamous “pavers”, a gang known for hammer attacks, ambushes, and housebreaking in the area. One of them was already a wanted criminal.

Luke Owoyesigyirwe, the KMP Deputy spokesman says in total, seven suspects were rounded up from crime hotspots notorious for marijuana use and targeting passersby. Police recovered hammers and other tools believed to have been used in burglaries.
All suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue. Police warn that they are cracking down hard on violent gangs in Kungu
