Description


Uganda Baati is hiring a Customer Care Executive (6) responsible for attending to walk-in customers, educating and promoting products, and closing sales within the showroom. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, maintaining showroom standards, and supporting overall business growthAfricans & Diaspora


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


Sales & Customer Service



  • To attend to and respond to incoming customer enquiries whether through phone, or over the counter.

  • To convert all potential prospects from walk-in customers to sales.

  • Receive sales orders from customers, confirm payment status and log in for production and delivery.

  • To generate daily footfall/Sales reports and share them with Supervisors.

  • To receive, record and forward customer complaints to management for corrective and preventive actions.

  • Organize product delivery and order fulfilment activities such as taking orders, giving pricing information, determining appropriate time delivery, routes and rates, etc.

  • Address problems such as damages, shortages and non-conformance to specifications with relevant departments.

  • Develop, grow and manage the roof installers scheme (Fundi program).

  • Keep customers informed on status of their orders and availability of material thereby liaising with production and supply chain teams on timelines to achieve OTIF.

  • Prepare loading slips; ensure all documentation is in order for loading, invoicing until the vehicle is out of the premises.


Showroom Management



  • Ensure products are well displayed, clean, and properly arranged.

  • Maintain showroom cleanliness and an attractive presentation at all times.

  • Monitor stock levels and report low or fast-moving items.

  • Conduct stock-taking and inventory control to ensure stock integrity.

  • Ensure strict adherence to the sales procedure and processes


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:



  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from a recognized government institution.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in building/construction sector or relevant experience gained in any commercial area or customer facing role.

  • Demonstrated passion for sales & customer service.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and statistical data packages.

  • Proficiency in local languages within the business area (Lusoga & Luganda)

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt and respond to all customers.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.

  • Positive attitude

  • Fast paced and prompt

  • Achievement oriented

  • Energetic and enthusiastic

  • Honesty and integrity
