We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Midwife to join our healthcare team in Kosovo, Kampala. The successful candidate will provide quality maternal and newborn care, support women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period, and contribute to safe and professional healthcare services.


Key Responsibilities


Maternal & Newborn Care



  • Provide antenatal, labour, delivery, and postnatal care to mothers.

  • Monitor maternal and fetal wellbeing throughout pregnancy and childbirth.

  • Assist with normal deliveries and provide immediate newborn care.

  • Identify pregnancy and delivery complications and ensure timely referral when necessary.

  • Provide guidance on breastfeeding, family planning, newborn care, and maternal health.


Clinical Duties



  • Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate clinical records.

  • Administer prescribed treatments and medications within the scope of practice.

  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards.

  • Ensure maternity equipment and supplies are properly prepared and maintained.

  • Provide respectful, confidential, and patient-centred care.


Team Support



  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in patient education and health promotion activities.

  • Follow clinic policies, professional standards, and ethical guidelines.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Certificate or Diploma in Midwifery from a recognized institution.

  • Valid registration and practising licence with the relevant professional regulatory body.

  • Previous experience working as a Midwife in a clinic, health centre, or hospital setting.

  • Strong knowledge of maternal and newborn healthcare practices.

  • Good communication and counselling skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
