Job Title: Finance Business Partner – Business Functions - TDO


Reports To: Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

Job Purpose: To partner with allocated business functions to drive value creation and deliver financial performance, providing decision-grade insights, robust budgeting/forecasting support, and post-implementation benefit tracking. The role consolidates and interprets financial/operational data, challenges investment cases, and aligns stakeholders on targets and performance to support delivery of the bank's strategic and financial objectives.


Responsibilities and Key deliverables:



  • Performance insight & reporting: Assemble and analyze TDO/Corporate data with macro/industry indicators into executive-ready insights for strategic, tactical, and operational decisions, ensuring timeliness and clarity on value drivers.

  • Investment case challenge & benefits tracking: Review and challenge capital investment projects for strategic fit and commercial viability; monitor post-implementation benefits against commitments and drive remediation where needed.

  • Planning, budgeting & forecasting: Lead analytical inputs into budgeting and forecasting with driver-based, historical, and market-informed assumptions for objective goal-setting and forward-looking performance management.

  • Monthly performance diagnostics: Provide granular analysis of actuals vs. plan at segment and individual levels with clear articulation of NII/NFI movements (price, volume, mix, currency) and implications for outlook.

  • Product & channel profitability: Deliver monthly insights including profitability for branches, cards, agency banking, and bancassurance; identify growth levers and efficiency opportunities.

  • Cost-to-serve modelling: Design and maintain models for cost of serving customers across channels (e.g., cost per transaction, per customer, per revenue) to guide efficiency and pricing decisions.

  • Customer segmentation integrity: Drive correct and consistent customer segmentation in core systems to enable accurate product/portfolio performance analysis and management action.

  • Product/portfolio surveillance & concentration tracking: Produce product performance reports, monitor deposit/loan concentrations and Top-20/Top-50 exposures to inform risk return optimization.

  • Revenue assurance & data integrity: Execute monthly revenue assurance to prevent income leakage (tariff validation, data integrity across reporting systems) and coordinate corrections with relevant teams.

  • Digital performance analytics: Champion real-time, predictive analytics and interactive visualizations (e.g., Power BI) across accounts, cards, payments, uptime/adoption, and utilization to enable faster, better decisions.

  • Stakeholder alignment & communication: Coordinate planning/forecasting and reporting cycles so Business Heads own the numbers; ensure alignment across TDO leadership, CFO/ED, MD and control partners. Measure success by forecast accuracy and timely communication.

  • Leadership & capability: Deputize for the Head of FP&A when required; provide feedback, share best practice across Finance, and drive personal development to strengthen team effectiveness.

  • Ensure that the bank maximizes value from her investments especially TDO projects, supporting Revenue Assurance, Business Campaigns and Performance measurement.


Person Specification


Education



  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting and/or Finance

  • Professional qualifications in Accounting such as ACCA, CPA.


Experience:



  • At least 8 to 10 years work experience preferably in financial services, Management Consulting or value for money auditing/evaluation

  • Significant experience in executing financial management activities and processes that cut across multiple finance capabilities (tax, reporting and forecasting) and jurisdictions.


Skills



  • Technical and practical skills in accounting and Finance

  • In depth understanding of short-, medium- and long-term strategies, goals and objectives setting

  • Detailed knowledge of Management Accounting with high levels of financial presentation skills including commentary writing to Board, Management etc
