Job Summary


MTN Uganda is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager – Government, NGOs & Faith-Based Organizations (FBOs) to drive sustainable revenue growth, customer acquisition, and strategic partnerships across the public sector and development ecosystem.


The successful candidate will develop sector-specific sales strategies, manage strategic customer relationships, expand the adoption of MTN Mobile Money solutions, and position MTN as the preferred digital financial services partner for government institutions, NGOs, development partners, and faith-based organizations.


  • Develop and implement sector strategies aligned with MTN Mobile Money's commercial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities within:
    • Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs)
    • Local Governments
    • NGOs
    • UN Agencies
    • Development Partners
    • Donor-funded Projects
    • Faith-Based Organizations
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans.
  • Identify, qualify, and acquire new high-value clients and strategic partnerships.
  • Position MTN Mobile Money solutions within digital transformation and financial inclusion initiatives.
  • Deliver assigned revenue, profitability, and transaction value targets.
  • Increase customer value through greater adoption of MTN Mobile Money products.
  • Drive cross-selling and upselling of:
    • Enterprise Collections
    • Enterprise Bulk Payments
    • Merchant Payments
    • API Integrations
    • Loans & Savings Solutions
    • New Wallet Solutions
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities across assigned accounts.
  • Increase market share and customer wallet penetration.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, including:
    • Permanent Secretaries
    • Accounting Officers
    • Chief Finance Officers
    • Procurement Managers
    • Programme Directors
    • Development Partners
    • NGO and FBO Leadership
  • Conduct regular business reviews.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Resolve customer issues through effective stakeholder coordination.
  • Promote customer advocacy and long-term partnerships.
  • Drive adoption of MTN Mobile Money products across assigned sectors.
  • Identify opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Increase transaction volumes and product utilization.
  • Promote digital payment migration initiatives.
  • Support customer onboarding, training, and change management.
  • Monitor customer usage and recommend improvement strategies.
  • Develop strong relationships with:
    • Government Ministries
    • Regulatory Agencies

  • A postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • 5–7 years' experience in Enterprise Sales, Key Account Management, Business Development, Relationship Management.
  • Experience managing enterprise clients within sectors such as Government, Education, Health, ICT, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Media.
  • Experience in Digital Financial Services, FinTech, Banking, Telecommunications, or ICT is highly desirable.
  • Proven success in enterprise solution selling, strategic account management, commercial negotiations, and managing complex sales cycles.
