Laboratory Technician (Hoima)

Job Description

We are looking for a competent Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations by collecting, processing, and analyzing patient samples while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, prepare, and process laboratory specimens.


• Perform routine laboratory procedures and tests.


• Maintain laboratory equipment and workstations.


• Record and report laboratory findings accurately.


• Ensure adherence to infection prevention and biosafety protocols.


• Manage laboratory supplies and inventory.


• Support quality assurance activities within the laboratory.

Requirements

• Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification.


• Valid professional registration and practicing license where required.


• Experience in a healthcare laboratory is an added advantage.


• Good technical and analytical skills.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
