Laboratory Technologist (Hoima)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Laboratory Technologist to perform laboratory tests that support accurate diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The successful candidate will ensure quality laboratory services while adhering to professional and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples.


• Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.


• Analyze, interpret, and accurately record laboratory results.


• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality assurance and biosafety standards.


• Maintain laboratory records, inventory, and equipment logs.


• Assist in quality control and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Collaborate with clinicians to support patient care.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.


• Valid professional registration and practicing license where applicable.


• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.


• Knowledge of laboratory quality management systems.


• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
