Marketing Manager
The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is hiring a Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of integrated brand, marketing, and communication strategies across Vision Group’s broadcast, print, digital, and commercial printing platforms in order to strengthen brand equity, grow audiences, drive circulation and viewership, and support sustainable revenue growth in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.
Reports to: HEAD OF MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
Duty Station: HEAD OFFICE – KAMPALA
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support in the development, implementation and management of an integrated marketing and communication strategy for broadcast, digital, and print media in collaboration with Business Unit Heads.
- Prepare and execute audience-specific annual brand and channel plans to enhance brand health, audience growth, and product usage
- Coordinate new product development initiatives and oversee successful product launches.
- Drive innovation in marketing approaches aligned with evolving audience behavior and media consumption trends.
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary brand team to deliver agreed brand objectives.
Ensure consistent brand positioning and messaging across all platforms in line with approved brand guidelines.
Monitor brand performance and equity, recommending strategic interventions where necessary. - Lead cross-functional teams to deliver advertising, promotional, and brand-building initiatives.
- Work closely with Programming, Content, Circulation, Creatives, and Advertising Sales teams to ensure alignment between business, content, and marketing objectives.
- Collaborate with the research team to generate actionable insights on audience behavior,- innovation, brand positioning, and market trends
- Support the Head of Marketing & Communications in annual budget planning.
- Manage brand and marketing budgets in line with approved financial controls and cost-rationalization objectives.
Education and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CIM qualification will be an added advantage
Working Experience
- Minimum of 6 8 years’ experience in brand or marketing management, preferably within a media, broadcasting, publishing, or digital environment.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Technical
- Possess conceptual abilities and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven media environment
- Knowledge of segmenting, targeting and positioning brands across various market segments and audiences
