Background information about the job or company


Mondays Hope Medical Centre is seeking a dedicated Medical Officer.


Responsibilities or duties


Conduct comprehensive medical examinations and assessments of patients. Diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions. Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments. Provide health education and counseling to patients. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records. Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care. Assist in the development and review of clinical protocols and policies. Ensure compliance with clinical standards and healthcare regulations. Deliver high-quality medical services to all patients. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Report any adverse events or clinical concerns to the supervising physician or Medical Officer-in Charge. Participate in continuing medical education and training programs. Contribute to the efficient functioning of the medical team.


Qualifications or requirements


Academic Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from a recognized institution. Professional Qualifications: Registration and a valid practicing license with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council. Additional certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are an added advantage.


Experience needed


Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in a primary healthcare setting or hospital environment. Experience in outpatient and emergency care preferred.


Special Skills Needed


Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure. Good team player with a compassionate approach. Proficiency in medical documentation and reporting. Knowledge of health information systems and electronic medical records.

Medical Director/Clinic Supervisor/Clinic Manager
