Job Purpose
The Nurse is responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring adherence to professional standards, infection prevention protocols, and the facility's policies. The role requires compassionate service delivery in line with the values of Nattyole Muslim Health Facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients and provide appropriate nursing care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Monitor patients' progress and report changes in condition to the attending clinician.
- Assist in medical procedures and emergency interventions.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and health promotion.
- Observe infection prevention and control measures.
- Ensure proper use and care of medical equipment and supplies.
- Participate in health education and community outreach activities where required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethics.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration and practicing licence from the relevant professional council.
- Additional training in maternal health, emergency care, or other clinical specialties is an added advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in a busy health facility is preferred.
- Experience in multiple clinical departments is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent patient care skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
- Knowledge of electronic or manual patient records.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- Breakfast and lunch provided.
- Accommodation is not provided.
- Candidates must be available for shift work, including weekends and public holidays where required.
