Operations Manager/Vector Control Officer

Main Duties

• To identify pests causing damage and to determine treatment necessary.


• Understand all aspects of integrated pest management systems used by the company


• Examine the items to be fumigated and calculate quantities of fumigants and other resources necessary like fumigation sheets.


• Prevent poisoning by fumigants to clients and staff.


• Discharge fumigant to areas to be fumigated


• Inspect premises to identify infestation of pests


• Study preliminary reports and diagrams of infested area and determine treatment type required to eliminate and prevent recurrence of infestation.


• Direct and/or assist other workers in treatment and extermination processes to eliminate and control pests.


• Post warning signs and lock building doors to secure area to be sprayed or fumigated.


• Ensure fumigation is done exceeding customer requirements and ensure customer is satisfied.


• Record work activities performed.


• Clean work site after completion of job.


• Ensure health & safety management practices are followed e.g., attend toolbox talks, report incidents, report hazards, correct PPE use, proper equipment handling etc.


• Any other duties as assigned.
