Role Context
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Research and Project Assistant to support our ongoing projects and research initiatives. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in environmental advocacy, project management, and research within a dynamic and impactful organization.
Responsibilities
The Volunteer Research and Project Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting in conducting research on various environmental and climate-related issues in Uganda.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data for research projects.
- Supporting the planning and implementation of project activities.
- Drafting reports, presentations, and other project-related documents.
- Assisting with communication and outreach efforts.
- Providing general administrative support to the project team.
Qualifications and Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong interest in environmental issues, climate change, and social justice.
- Good research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiasm and a proactive attitude.
Experience
Previous experience in research, project assistance, or volunteer work is an advantage but not strictly required.
